The daily program alternates periods of action-packed sports with creative play. Planned breaks for snacks and lunch are also included.
We promote respect, attitude, effort, sportsmanship, and teamwork while introducing campers to the fundamentals of each sport offered.
-Age & skill appropriate games each day
-Special area skills development in each sport
-An official camp T-shirt for each camper
- A great way to make new friends
- Training in effective leadership techniques
- And...lots of fun!
The only items campers need to bring to camp is a swim suit, their lunch, and possibly a baseball glove- campers will be given notification the day before they are to do so. All West will provide equipment for all of the other featured sports and have copius quantities of drinking water available.
Each exhilarating week of Sports Camp culminates with a special Awards Ceremony to recognize campers who have displayed outstanding sportsmanship, effort, teamwork, leadership, and dedication.
PROGRAM DIRECTOR & STAFF:
Matt Ogelsby- 3 time Duke University All American, ACC Player of the Year, and professional indoor and outdoor lacrosse player. Matt was born and raised in Bryn Mawr, PA and has made his home in San Francisco since 1999. Having run lacrosse camps successfully since 1997, he has made it his life's work to pass on his knowledge and infectious enthusiasm for the game of lacrosse to young players in the west, primarily in the Bay area.
Matt's staff includes carefully screened and qualified individuals from the ranks of school teachers, sports instructors, and group counselors who excel in the friendly, caring supervision of young campers. While maintaining continuous guidance, our counselors actively help each camper make friends and feel at home and make learning fun.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

While creating a friendly and safe atmosphere in which campers have a great time, make new friends, and participate in a wide variety of sports and activities, we aim to instill in campers the desire to do their best, both on and off the field.. Campers learn the importance of teamwork, buillding confidence in their own abilities while developing their athetic skills through inidvidual and small group instruction and participation in games. Campers will be exposed to leadership skills and teamwork strategies. In the end, we strive to provide campers with the finest, multi-sports day camp experience possible for each camper.
