All West Lacrosse

We cannot tell you how excited we are about the All West RAE Foundation!  Its purpose is to:

• Fund need-based scholarships to lacrosse programs (not exclusively All West)

• Provide grant funding for lacrosse equipment and programs in need

• Support Lacrosse 4 LIFE (www.lacrosseforlife.org), an organization whose mission we believe in

INDIVIDUALS who would like to apply for financial assistance can do so in one of three ways:

• Fax a completed Financial Aid Application to 888-453-1053
• Email a completed Financial Aid Application to charlieo@allwestlax.com. (It can be embedded in the email or attached as a MS Word or PDF attachment)

LACROSSE PROGRAMS which would like to be considered for funding of equipment or coaches can do so by emailing charlieo@allwestlax.com and providing the following:

• A complete description of what is needed
• Explanation and any evidence you have of why you cannot acquire it on your own

BACKGROUND OF ALL WEST RAE FOUNDATION:

Since 2004, we have worked to build the sport of lacrosse in Northern California. Every year, we are approached by hundreds of families about the availability of scholarships to our programs. In addition, organizations such as Lacrosse4LIFE, the NCJLA, the Norcal Chapter of US Lacrosse, local schools, and lacrosse clubs have regularly requested our support of their activities. Each year, we have responded to as many scholarship requests as possible, but we are limited in the number we can provide due to the associated costs.

We, like you, want to grow the sport of lacrosse and are disappointed to turn away eager players due to lack of available funds for financial aid. Ultimately, the lack of financial aid to cover direct costs incurred for each participant in a program limits the growth of lacrosse. We have been trying for several years to find a better vehicle than presently exists to deal with need-based requests of all kinds. Having found none, we concluded that we needed to start our own 501 (c)(3).

OUR COMMITMENT TO GIVE BACK:

We feel so strongly about the need for and purpose of the All West RAE Foundation that part of its funding comes from our business, All West Lacrosse. We have pledged to donate $3 for every registration we receive to the RAE Foundation.

With over 4,000 registrations last year, we donated  over $12,750 to the All West RAE Foundation and a whopping $17,500 to Lacrosse4Life in 2011. We not only believe in “talking the talk,” but in “walking the walk.”
